Smoke Detector

A smoke detector is like a superhero for your home, always on the lookout for any signs of fire. When there's smoke in the air, it senses it and sends a signal to a control panel or makes a loud noise itself to warn you.

Now, there are three types of smoke alarms: ionization, photoelectric, and a combo of both called a "dual" detector. These alarms work by spotting tiny particles in the air that could mean there's a fire nearby. Once they detect enough of these particles, they sound the alarm so you know to get out of harm's way.

Photoelectric smoke detectors use a beam of light that gets scattered by smoke particles, setting off the alarm. Basically, they're like watchdogs with laser eyes, keeping your home safe from fires. And remember, whether it's photoelectric or ionization, these alarms are always ready to protect you and your family.
